Here are some things you know to be true if you are a procrastinator like I am. When I write down the assignment in class when my professor first assigns it, I manage to convince myself that as soon as I get back from class I am going to start working on that assignment right away so I won't have to be up extremely late the night before it is due. Most of the time I end up getting distracted by something and then I end up not working on my homework.
